Senior Manager - Resort Operations

Exciting new opportunity to join the Mount Hotham ARMB leadership team

About the role

This new role, Senior Manager Resort Operations, reports to the Chief Executive Officer and directly manages the outdoor resort operations for Mount Hotham Resort. 

The role will lead our outdoor teams, through snow and green seasons, to ensure reliable delivery of the Mount Hotham Resort operational services with a focus on the quality and efficiency of the work, impact on the environment, building a positive employee culture and providing an amazing experience for visitors and residents of the mountain.

As a member of the senior leadership team, the successful incumbent will also contribute to the Mount Hotham Resort management through their commitment to our vision, a “Shared Amazing Alpine Experience” and their leadership to develop an amazing employee experience for our teams.

The operational services include:

  • Water management including waste, potable and storm
  • Snow clearing
  • Landfill and recycling
  • The SCADA system
  • Nursey and horticulture services
  • Environmental services including renewable energy, flora and fauna and compliance

Our preferred candidate will have significant experience managing operational infrastructure services and is likely to have relevant qualifications such as a civil engineering degree. 

Importantly, they will be a strong team leader and team member, with a track record of driving improved quality and effectiveness through others whilst also prepared to get involved in the hands-on work.

The remuneration package for this role is consistent with the Victorian Public Sector policy.

Senior Manager - Guest Engagement

Exciting new opportunity to join the Mount Hotham RMB leadership team

About the role

This new role, Senior Manager Guest Engagement, reports to the Chief Executive Officer and directly manages the delivery of Guest Services for Mount Hotham Resort. 

The role will lead our Guest Services, Village Operations, Ski Patrol and Information Technology teams, through snow and green seasons, to ensure guests and residents have an Amazing Alpine Experience whilst on the mountain. The successful person will focus on the guest experience, through providing quality and effective services whilst also building a positive employee culture.

As a member of the senior leadership team, the Senior manager Guest Engagement will also contribute to Mount Hotham Resort management through their commitment to our vision, a “Shared Amazing Alpine Experience” and their leadership to develop an amazing employee experience for our teams.

The Guest Engagement teams deliver a breadth of services:

  •  Guest information and experience management
  • Vehicle and transport services
  • Resort entry
  • Village, track and trails maintenance
  • Ski Patrol services
  • IT, including customer focused systems such as for vehicle management and resort entry

Our preferred candidate will have significant experience managing operational services with a strong focus on the use of processes and systems to improve service delivery.  Importantly, they will be a strong team leader and team member, with a track record of driving improved quality and effectiveness through others whilst also prepared to get involved in the hands on work.
