Signing off for the 2026 season
That's a wrap on winter at Hotham. Mother Nature made us work for it this season, but embracing the challenge is part of who we are up here. It’s what makes Hotham so special!
We’re looking back on the season with immense pride in the Hotham community, who showed up day in, day out, to deliver a great experience for our guests.
There were plenty of days to celebrate - the kind that remind us why we come back year after year.
Whether you visited for a weekend or stayed here for the season, thank you for being a part of it. We can't wait to welcome you back next winter!

Backcountry Conditions
6 September
Take care if you head into the backcountry.
There is only a marginal cover of snow and the thin veneer from last night's snowfall may hide some unpleasant hazards.
Welcome to the last day of the season, and of course it snowed last night. Not much at all but things look fresh and clean again.

What to do today? Much better weather for that invigorating walk from D.P. to Hotham. Might clear for a walk out to Mt Loch however keep a close eye on the weather! A BIG SHOUT OUT to our amazing XC groomers who this year somehow managed to groom as much as they did with our less than stellar snow pack.. As disappointing as this winter was , we still got out there and made the most of it. I hope to see you all on the trails winter 2027 and to have a more extensive xc grooming report to offer.
