Dinner Plain is the perfect place for a country escape, surrounded by pristine nature and endless adventure opportunities.
Dinner Plain is located just 15 minutes from Mt Hotham, and is a truly individual village filled with rustic Australian charm. It is an ideal mountain get-away any time of the year particularly in winter when the Alps come alive with ski and snowboard lovers, couples and families, all enjoying what the snow-covered Dinner Plain has to offer.
The cosy village is the perfect place to relax and unwind. Dinner Plain boasts scenic village and bush walks, a Japanese-style onsen spa and retreat with outdoor hot springs, and various wine and dining options including Australia’s highest brewery.
Choose your adventures with biking, hiking, cross country skiing and snowshoeing along trails that leave from the centre of the cosy village, explore historic cattlemen’s huts from the gold rush era or head over to the famed downhill ski runs of Mount Hotham, with a shuttle bus able to run you there and back in just 10 minutes.
During winter there is a perfect beginner ski hill, complete with a tube park and tobogganing and snow-play area to make the ultimate snowman. The ski hill also runs on Wednesday and Saturday nights so you can ski under the starlight.
All year round, Dinner Plain has no resort entry fee. So come and see for yourself everything that this gorgeous alpine village has to offer.
Perfect for beginners, the Cobungra Platter ski and snowboard hill at Dinner Plain is just what you need to learn your first on-snow skills and develop confidence to then progress your riding on the more challenging terrain at Hotham.
Please note, a special half-day lift pass* has been created for use between Monday 10 to Friday 14 September, 2018 where operating hours will be between 9.00am to 12noon. To purchase your Dinner Plain lift passes, just visit the Dinner Plain Ticket Desk, located at Cobungra Platter.
Whiz down and race your friends at Dinner Plain's Tube Park. The tube lanes are elevated to an easy gradient which gather speed for a fun and exhilarating ride to the bottom where a ramp pulls you to a nice and easy stop. It's not too steep but not too slow. Tubing is a great family-friendly activity that is easy and safe.
