PLAN YOUR TRIP

There's nothing more exciting than planning your first trip to the snow! Here's everything you need to know to make your trip fun and safe!

Step 1

Arrange Transport

To make visiting Mt Hotham as easy and stress-free as possible, there are a number of bookable transport services to get you here safely.

Step 2

Driving to Hotham & Snow Chains

We love a road trip! To ensure you can reach the slopes safely, please check that your vehicle can take diamond pattern wheel chains first (these are mandatory, but not all vehicles can fit wheel chains due to clearance issues). Find out more about chains, parking, oversnow luggage transfers and driving to Hotham.

Step 3

Purchase Resort Entry Permit

All vehicles entering Mt Hotham during the snow season are required to have a resort entry permit. The permit fee contributes to essential services for guests around the mountain, including ski patrol, village buses, waste management and environmental initiatives to make your visit comfortable, safe and sustainable.

Step 4

Book Your Activities

We have a range of on and off snow activities for the whole family that run throughout the resort. There’s always something to do to keep you entertained on your snow holiday!

Step 5

Explore Dining Options

Here at Hotham, we firmly believe food tastes better in the cold. With a range of cuisines and dining styles, from fine dining to cafes and pub food, no matter what sort of meal you are after there is always a restaurant right around the corner.
