HOME / Tracks and Trails
Distance: 2.6 km loop
Duration: Approximately 1 hour
Grade: Moderate
Start Point: Trailhead at Higgi Drive, near Mount Hotham Village

The central village at Hotham wraps around Mt Higginbotham - rarely called out as the star of the show, the humble peak is a central figure of the resort, offering excellent views in all directions. Walk south from Corral car park, up Higgi Drive, take a right at Razorback Apartments and follow the Track Marker Post 200 metres to it's summit.
You'll pass the Higginbotham lookout on your way up (about halfway), built over decommissioned water tanks, where you can enjoy the view out over the Dargo region. At the top you'll find a picnic shelter with a table where you can kick back with a snack or lay out in the sun for amazing views in the opposite direction.
If you're food-motivated, you can continue the walk down the other side of Higginbotham (past the Big D kids ski area) and arrive at The General for lunch.
