7 PEAKS RIDE

Ride one peak or conquer all seven? What's your challenge?

Australia’s most awe-inspiring, scenic and challenging road climbs – the 7 Peaks of Mount Buffalo, Mt Buller, Dinner Plain, Falls Creek, Mt Hotham, Mt Baw Baw and Lake Mountain – are all right here in Victoria’s High Country. Ride one or ride them all to experience spectacular views and epic riding to match any of the classic European tarmac climbs of the Alps, Dolomites or Pyrenees.

Climb them all and you’ll have ascended more than 7,000m over 160km.

Riding season kicks off in October - ride in spring to prepare for the legendary Alpine Classic or Peaks Challenge road cycling events over summer, ride in summer to escape the heat in the valleys, or visit in autumn to top off your summer of cycling in style.

Victoria's 7 Peaks Ride

Victoria’s 7 Peaks Ride is an at-your-own pace cycling challenge which run from 1 October 2023 to 31 April 2024, taking you up winding mountain roads, around steep turns and past spectacular views right to the top of seven Victorian Alpine Resorts.

HOTHAM RIDE

This challenging ride commences in the gateway town of Harrietville. The scenic Great Alpine Road is flanked by tall forests in the early part of the ride. Mount Buffalo and Mt Feathertop are landmarks in the endless vistas that greet you at the top.

Distance 32.4km. Rise 1,347m. Grade Average 4%. Grade Max 18%.
