Departing from our beautiful Eco-Village at Mt Hotham, you’ll climb aboard an AWD buggy and venture off the beaten track into the High Country’s rugged beauty and rich history.
The tour follows the scenic Davenport Access Track, with a stop along peaceful Swindlers Creek—home to the occasional platypus—and continues to the iconic Silver Brumby Hut at the “Plains of Heaven.” Your local guide shares stories of the land, its wildlife, and the legends behind Elyne Mitchell’s famous tale and film.
After exploring, return to the Eco-Village for a relaxed BBQ lunch among the snow gums. Enjoy a local drink, breathe in the mountain air, and soak up the serenity—or extend your stay overnight in one of our unique Alpine Nature Experience accommodations. A perfect blend of storytelling, scenery, and off-road adventure — this is the High Country like you’ve never seen it before.
