Best start to the season in 22 years

And we’re off with a bang! This year marks the first time Hotham has opened early in 22 years. With a massive 51cm of snow falling overnight, and 106cm in the last week, the Hotham snow base sits at 80cm! Cue the 1m party for Queen's Birthday weekend?

With low temps set to stay, our snowmaking team has been giving Mother Nature a helping hand. Stay tuned as we’ll have more lifts and terrain opening soon!

A big thank you to all our staff and guests who were out there over the weekend sharing in the opening day excitement. The 2022 snow season kicked off with lifts spinning at the Summit from Saturday morning with a crowd of skiers and boarders eager to get out there.

Keep an eye on our website and social channels for updates over the week. Lift operations are expected to continue normal operating times and Hotham Central will remain open as we head into the long weekend celebrations.
