Operations update.

Thankfully the wild weather experienced over the past few days has eased some-what and should continue to improve as the day progresses.

The current temp is 2.3 degrees and we're headed for a top of 6 degrees. The wind has backed off from yesterday and is currently moderate out of the NW.

Unfortunately the showers and mild temps over the past 48 hours have forced us to hit pause on lift operations. Summit Trainer will remain on hold today due to conditions. Our teams are working hard to try and repair the slope ahead of the weekend. Keep an eye on the Lift Report and Hotham App for real time updates.

Bill and Burner have their eyes glued to the forecast and will be back with the good news when it arrives.

Cheers.

Backcountry Conditions

The cover is very thin and marginal in the backcountry. Only the higher elevation areas are skiable (just) in places, but beware of south facing and shaded slopes that may be icy and slick. Take care.

The toboggan slope was groomed again last night and will be open for lots of fun sliding today. Take the free bus to bus stop 12.

Welcome to winter 2026. We do have some snow however not enough currently to allow for grooming of our trails. If you venture out, ski with great care due to thin cover. I will keep you updated as to when grooming commences. See you on the trails when things get going..cheers Bev
