We kicked off on Opening Weekend with the Playground Chair Charity Auction and a great fireworks display before the snow hit us with a season starting storm from June 13.
Our first lifts spun on June 16 and by July 3 we had all lifts across the resort spinning! In July, we introduced you to some of the heroes of the mountain in our Meet Mountain Ops series. Little did we know that some of this team would be the magicians behind keeping the skiing and riding great through an unseasonally dry July and August.
The drier weather did mean that we had plenty of awesome sunshine and groomer days on repeat! Perfect for the fair-weather skiers, fine tuning your skills in a lesson and après on one of our many decks.
We also had plenty of events, from FIS ANC Skier and Boardercross racing, to Subaru Rail Jams, Oakley Slopestyle and the Banked Slalom, and of course our infamous Retro Day, we packed a lot into this season. Who can forget the weekly fireworks displays in July and August too! Thanks to everyone who took part along the way.
And then there was the September dump! Temperatures plummeted and 27cm of snow fell across the resort making for some of the best conditions of the season. If you were here for it, you know what we’re talking about!
