Possum Flat/Dargo Loop

Possum Flat is behind the public shelter on the southern side of The Great Alpine Road opposite Howard’s Hut. This location provides a great introduction to hiking with your ‘little adventurers’. Both loops weave through snow gum woodlands and over gentle inclines. The Possum Flat Loop has a mid-way picnic table for a snacks break. The Dargo Loop passes through an Alpine Eco-Glamping site before arriving at the spectacular Dargo Lookout Picnic Shelter with great views over the Dargo River and High Plains. Take the Dargo Loop ski trail north to return.
