Katya Crema began her career as an Alpine ski racer, winning the Australian National Championships in slalom and giant slalom four times. In her final year as a junior in Alpine, Crema switched to Ski Cross in the 2007/08 season, lining up in her first World Cup event in January in Les Contamines, France, finishing 18th.
