Getting around the village of Hotham and to Dinner Plain is easy with our Village Transport.
As part of your resort entry fee, Mt Hotham Resort Management Board provides a free Village bus service to help you move easily from pillow to powder, bar to bar or home after a long day on the slopes. To catch a ride is simple - just wait at a bus stop sign located around the village precinct (refer to below map).
The bus service operates from 6.45am to 1.45am* seven days a week.
* Bus service may finish earlier in the shoulder season.
New for 2018, the Mt Hotham Village bus service will be provided by Alpine Spirit Coaches, incorporating a modern, spacious, wheelchair-accessible bus fleet.
As part of this service, we are excited to introduce Hail-a-Bus. The service will allow you to hail a bus from your phone and one will be dispatched to the bus stop you are at as soon as possible. Additionally, the service offers GPS tracking so you always know where the next bus is - no need to wait in the cold!
Simply register online with Alpine Spirit Coaches as a Hotham Village Shuttle Bus user.
The Hotham-Dinner Plain Bus stops at the following locations in Hotham.
Drivers will not pick up at any other point. Wire Plain passengers can use the service in either direction.
SMART cards are now required for Dinner Plain shuttle bus travel and can be purchased for $5 each. They need to be activated by registering and topping up online prior to use.
Please always keep your SMART card with you for all Dinner Plain Shuttle Bus travel. Whether it is for the current snow season or the next, your SMART card is still applicable.
