It's a windy one!

It looks as though we're in for another day of blustery conditions as the next weather system approaches from the west and if the forecast is correct, we should hopefully see snow flurries developing during the day.

The temperature hovered around or just above 0 for most of the night but has been dropping steadily over the past couple of hours and is currently -1.7 as we head for a top of -1 degree. Much like yesterday the wind is up and is currently strong out of the NW so keep an eye on lift status as some of the upper and outer lifts may be disrupted.

With the recent dropping temperature it feels as though the snow has had a freeze so ease into it on the groomers which will be offering the best options first up. Off piste will start off firm so properly assess it and give it time for some softening to occur.

It looks as though the September sun will make a return tomorrow leading into the weekend. In the meantime, rug up for the windchill and have a fun one.

Cheers, Burner.

Travel advice: Hotham is following all advice provided by Victoria Police. At this time, guests are advised to avoid travelling through Porepunkah when en route to Hotham. If you are approaching from Myrtleford, Porepunkah can be avoided with a detour via Running Creek/Tawonga on Happy Valley Rd > Kiewa Valley Hwy > Tawonga Gap Road. This will add approximately 30 minutes travel time to your journey. If you can, travel via Bairnsdale/Omeo is recommended.
