As all snow play and snow sports are now restricted following the Victorian Government’s announcement of a state-wide lockdown Hoys Harrietville is closed for snow rental & retail until Victoria’s lockdown restrictions are lifted.

Please note: Hoys Harrietville & Hoys Chains Omeo will facilitate chain hire for essential travellers from Thursday 6 August, from 9am – 5pm daily until the end of the Victorian lockdown period. We offer the only chain fitting mobile service on your way up the mountain – FREE when you hire Hoys chains. Hoys Harrietville has the largest chain rental fleet in Victoria, the latest ski & board rental gear & quality snow accessories for sale. Hoys Harrietville has off mountain secured car parking and all Mt Hotham & Dinner Plain coach & taxi depart from our depot with new dedicated departure lounge and clean bathroom facilities.

No room in your car for skis & boards? Hire your chains from Hoys Harrietville & still get all our deals on your ski & board packages at any of the three Hoys on mountain shops. We have a huge range of high quality skis, boards and clothing for hire, with full on-mountain backup provided by Hoys Mt Hotham Shop, Hoys @ Jack Frost and Hoys Dinner Plain. All skis & boards are carefully tuned in our ski tuning workshop in Harrietville. Our rental clothing range starts from kids size 00 to adult 10XL, is fashionable, very waterproof & we have many colours to choose from. We also have snow boots, goggles, helmets & toboggans for hire. We even have Tubbs snowshoes for hire if you are hiking Mt Feathertop or the High Plains.

At Hoys, we only stock retail items we believe can handle our unique Alpine environment and will last. Hoys offer 3 levels of skis & boards to rent – Sport; Performance & Demo gear – at age 3 price points – child (under 18yo), Adults (18+) & Seniors (65+). Get the latest road conditions and current information about chain fitting. Hire your diamond pattern chains from Hoys Harrietville and have them professionally fitted for free (when chain fitting is required) at the snowline by Hoys Mt Hotham snow chain fitting mobile service. Hoys staff will try them on first to see they're the right size for your vehicle and show you how they fit correctly - then you can take them to our mobile fitting service and the boys will fit them while you stay warm & dry in your vehicle.
