Yes, Hotham is still open!

Due to the public health guidelines relating to coronavirus (COVID-19), Vail resorts have made the decision to not reopen lift operations at Hotham for Spring skiing and snowboarding. Learn more.

While the lifts might not be running, Hotham is still open to guests who are permitted to travel under current public health guidelines. 

The following activities, businesses and lodges continue to operate at Hotham. (Note: If you wish to visit a business or use a service please make contact beforehand to confirm opening/operating hours.)

Hire & Rental - Hoys, Tirol Sports, Snow Monkey, Base n Edge (appointment only), Alpine Heights (appointment only)

Please note Hoys Harrietville & Hoys Chains Omeo will facilitate chain hire for essential travellers from 9am – 5pm daily from Thursday 6 August 2020 until the end of the Victorian lockdown period. There will be mobile numbers on the shops’ front doors or call to arrange in advance – Harrietville 0357 592589 / Omeo 0427 597 211.

Food & Beverage - The General, Jack Frost and First Run Cafe

Lodges -  Arrabri, AsterixBembooka, Brush, Bundarra, Hangmans Drop (members only), IHP (members only), KalynaShamrock Appartments, Tanderra and Vagabond

 


 

Mount Hotham Alpine Resort Management Board will continue to operate the following services in accordance with our COVIDSafe Operating Plan: 
•    Ski Patrol (reduced capacity)
•    Village and carpark snowclearing
•    Grooming of cross-country trails
•    Support for on-mountain businesses through our website and social media channels
•    Snow play and tobogganing (conditions dependent)

Vic Roads will continue to clear the Great Alpine Road for access through Mt Hotham.

The following services will not be running:
•    Medical Centre
•    Local ambulance service
•    Village bus service

Dinner Plain, which is in the Alpine Shire, also remains open and will continue to operate for visitors who are permitted to travel.

Reduced Resort Entry pricing

In line with the reduced level of resort operations, the Resort Entry daily price will be $35 per day effective Monday 13 July until at least 19 August 2020.

Resort Entry permits must still be purchased online before travelling to the resort so we can continue to manage capacity and enable contact tracing in line with current public health guidelines. Visitors without Resort Entry will not be permitted to travel into the resort.

Resort Entry refunds and registration cancellations

We recognize that some guests who have booked holidays for during this period until 19 August will wish to cancel their plans, so we will be offering refunds on Resort Entry permits for the period. Guests should complete this online form with the details of their Resort Entry permit for a refund.

Resort Entry season permit holders who have registered to visit during the period until 19 August and wish to cancel their registration can do so by completing this online form.
