Keep an eye on the lift status!
Well, it's probably one of the better mornings of the winter... to have a slow start and see how things pan out before rushing out the door. We've copped some rain overnight and there are more showers expected during the day. The current temperature is 5.3 degrees, and the wind is a strong northwesterly which is predicted to ease a little during the day.
The overnight rain has done some damage to the snowpack, so all areas will need to be assessed before opening. Village Chair is on hold for the day and Heavenly Valley Chair is closed due to the current snow conditions. Check the lift status before heading out there.
The good news is that once we get through today, we are in for an extended spell of great weather, and there'll still be some fun turns to be had in the open areas.
Cheers Bill
