Tucked away in a gorgeous, secluded part of Mt Hotham, Alpine Nature Experience’s eco-village is fully sustainable and off the grid. 
 

There, you will discover Australia’s only Tree Tent experience. Raised off the ground and strung between trees, these comfortable tents are perfect for giving your partner, friends and family special memories that they will cherish forever!

Tent options for two people through to four 

The Duo Tree Tent comfortably sleeps 2 people while the Trio and Family Tree tent is designed for families and small groups with enough space for 3 adults, or 2 adults and 2 children. Our Trio tents can even be stacked to accommodate 4 adults on two levels! 

The Premium Vista Tent is the most unique and luxurious camping option. Pitched over one of the most stunning lookouts at Hotham, you’ll also have access to your own private outdoor hot bath with a complimentary bottle of local sparkling wine.
 

Eco-camp

Our eco-camp is set-up in the wilderness of Hotham. Everything is carried in and out by man-power to reduce our impact on the fragile alpine environment. We are completely off the grid and sustainable. That, however, does not mean we compromise on comfort. At the eco-camp, you will find all the facilities you need to have an enjoyable and memorable moment in nature. 

Alpine Nature Experience is an accredited Sustainable Business and is a member of the 1% for the Planet initiative.

There are a range of activities available during the day to fill you stay including short walks, day hikes, bike riding, gourmet BBQ etc. Or simply relax in one of our giant hammocks and enjoy the fresh pure Alpine air. We also have a range of outdoor games to keep the kids (and their parents) entertained.

Dargo Lookout

Our eco-camp is located right on a stunning lookout from where you will be able to see the sun disappear behind the peaks of Hotham and the spectacular Dargo Valley.
 

Dinner by the Fire 

Enjoy an unforgettable dinner at the Alpine Nature Experience eco-camp. Make the most of regular wood fire pizza nights or indulge with their woodfire grilled feast. Don’t forget to book.

Hikes and Walks 

There are plenty of stunning hikes around Mt Hotham to suit all levels of fitness. We can organise everything for you, from pack-lunch to full guided alpine crossings. And of course the iconic Razorback walk to Mt Feathertop.

Bike Riding 

Hotham is blessed with a number of fantastic Mountain bike tracks, as well as incredible road. We can organise bike rentals and transport for these activities.
