We are looking for our 2020 Winter Lodge Managers!
After three seasons, our current lodge managers are saying goodbye. They leave massive shoes to fill, and we are now searching for another extraordinary couple to come and join us for Winter 2020. We are searching for a couple, it’s a big job and requires two people to perform the role.
From June to the end of the Winter Ski Season, you will be required to work 6 days per week, with Wednesdays off. A major part of managing the AAC Dinner Plain Lodge is the cooking of a two course meal (dinner and dessert) each night apart from Wednesday night. Some nights during the peak winter season, there could be up to 20 and sometimes 30 people seated at the dinner table!
You will be required to develop meal plans, order produce and cook meals to a high standard. The managers also play a vital role in meeting and greeting our members and their guests and ensuring that each and every member and guest is made to feel welcome and at home in our wonderful lodge. Other duties include cleaning and maintenance of the common areas – dining/lounge areas, boot room and drying room, communal bathroom, spa area, and ensuring that the wood fire is alight and keeping our lodge warm and cosy for our members. There are also several administrative tasks such as ordering food and provisions for the lodge, managing petty cash and paying invoices. You will need to be computer savvy and have some experience in financial administration.
We are searching for a couple with demonstrated hospitality and customer service experience, Food Handling certification, First Aid qualifications and national police check clearance.
We pay a weekly salary plus superannuation and provide a private and self- contained apartment on premises.
