Frankie is one of the new eateries at Hotham, located upstairs at the Big D, and they're already changing the paradigm by being the first place on the mountain to offer home delivery as well as takeaway.

The aesthetic is inner city café - the kind where you feel comfortable lingering over a perfect cup of coffee, because the people are so engaging and friendly that you don't want to leave any time soon.

Light and bright

Light and bright with wood paneling and chalkboards, it's your neighbourhood local and you can expect to meet familiar faces because it will be the go-to choice for many.

The menu is thoughtfully designed with both adults and kids in mind. Something quick, hot and filling for ravenous kids who've skied or boarded their hearts out, as well as delicious, gorgeous gourmet food that won't break the budget. Home cooked, rich flavours, and lovely presentation. 

Hospitality runs in their veins

Lisa and Sarah are both long-time Hotham seasoners, and after a few years break are ecstatic to be back on the mountain. Growing up in hospitality venues both women have a love for providing quality service and food. Throughout the off season, Lisa runs a successful functions and weddings business, Event & Flavour, on the Mornington Peninsula. Sarah’s hospitality credentials including managing weddings and functions at the busy Portsea Hotel and Vines of Red Hill winery, also.

Frankie at Hotham have a special offer for this weekend to kick off their delivery service – Free delivery for all food orders this Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Jump onto the website and check out the fabulous menu, which includes Moroccan vegetable paella, Sri Lankan sweet potato and red lentil dhal, served with aromatic forbidden rice, 18-hour lamb ragu papadelle in vine ripened tomato & red wine sugo topped with fresh basil & baked ricotta, and twice cooked Texan bourbon beef brisket served on a parsnip and desiree mash.

'Drunken donuts'

But the thing we fancy the most is the range of ‘drunken donuts’ - Frangelico Chocolate, Strawberry Liqueur Jam, and Lemoncello – and they’re available on home delivery!
