A bit of everything

20 July 2006
Well it has certainly been a mixed bag over the last few days, with snow, rain, snow, more rain, a bit more snow etc etc.
There was quite a bit of rain over the weekend, which would have been great if you had just sown your wheat crop. For us on the top of the mountain, it was not what we ordered or wanted.
Since the weekend we have had a few light snowfalls, very cold temps, the snowmakers have been having a ball. To top it all off the Summit has reopened, providing top to bottom skiing again. Did I mention the snowmakers, they are awesome, they actually are elevated to a status above us mere mortals.
I heard a great quote from Len Dobell, General Manager Operations, "I have a simple philosophy in running my operation, if I can make snow I'll make it, if I can open a lift I'll open it and if I can groom it I'll groom it".
Plenty of pics in the Photo Gallery from the last few days.
