Since 2010, snowmaking power increased by 40% at Hotham Alpine Resort thanks to a $1.7 million investment. In 2013 Hotham will put a brand new snowgun to use - the fantastic TF10 from Techno Alpin.
Hotham has 25 hectares of terrain serviced by a network of 82 high-output fan snowguns.
For the 2013 snow season, Hotham is excited to utilise a new large fan snow gun from Techno Alpin – the TF10.
Hotham’s great relationship with Techno Alpin in research and development of snowmaking equipment meant that Hotham was chosen for the first trial in the Southern Hemisphere in Season 2012. It proved to be a successful trial with the TF10 operating at an increased productivity rate of 20% in comparison to the large guns already in use, the T60s.
Our snowmaking system utilises recycled water from the Hotham Village water treatment plant.
