Day Care Manager
Hotham Day Care offers parents and guardians of children aged 3 months to 5 years the opportunity to enjoy the slopes. We cater for up to 30 children at one time offering 3 separate play rooms, an infant’s sleep room and a family room for breast feeding families. High quality care is our utmost priority and therefore we provide an above regulatory standard child staff ratio. As part of our commitment to families using our service, we also offer two Introductions to Ski Programs.
Hotham Day Care is seeking an experienced child care professional who has the ability to manage a close knit team whilst caring for pre-school age children & babies. Patience, empathy, a fun & friendly personality, a commitment to high quality child care and previous supervisory or management experience is a must.
Candidate Requirements
- Prior experience as a supervisor or manager is essential
- Valid Victorian Working With Children Check Card (to be completed prior to starting in the position)
- Childcare related qualification
- Candidate can be a registered school teacher in Victoria
- A high level of Child Development knowledge
- Experience in working with children 3months to 5years
Desirable training and skills
- A current Level 2 Workplace First Aid Certificate
- Epi-pen & Asthma management certification
- Current and valid Food Safety training – Level 1 & 2
- Highest regard for personal appearance and presentation
- A high level of customer service skills
- Excellent communications skills
- Ability to work in a team environment and supervise
- Ability to handle pressure effectively whilst encouraging staff
- A passion for experiencing new and exciting challenges
