A light dusting of snow has covered the resort and surrounds. With little or no wind the powder snow delicately settled on any horizontal surface. A walk through the Basin area emphasized the texture of the steel walkways and handrails, trees bowed gently under the unfamiliar weight of snow. Rough sawn weather boards revealed their finish in the still conditions. Untrodden paths and walkways invited disturbance. Road barriers looked like sugar dusted lollies, but much too big to chew. Tyre tracks revealed the destination of vehicles and foot prints headed for buildings. All over the resort took on a magical feel.
