It's snowing - lots!

It's snowing - lots!

Mother Nature has decided to help our busy snowmaking team and natural snowflakes have now been falling since early this morning.

Around 5cm has fallen so far with up to 25cm predicted out of this storm prior to opening weekend. Forecasts also note that another storm next week may bring up to 15cm across Victorian resorts.

Our snowguns have now been firing for more than 39 hours straight after being turned on again on Monday night from 8pm. This straight run of snowmaking and cold temperatures, currently minus 4 degrees, is helping to form a good base in the Big D, Playground and Summit Trainer areas. More than 32,000 cubic metres of snow has been made since snowmaking started last Saturday morning.

The winter 2010 season officially opens this weekend on Saturday 12 June. Stay tuned for updates as more snow falls... exciting times for all.
