Tomorrow the Summit Quad Chair will open and on Thursday The Big D will see its first skiers and riders hitting the slopes. For the coming weekend there will be five lifts opening including Road Runner and Upper Playground. The Village loop conditions will be assessed for opening also.
At 7.30pm tonight we will hit the 24 hour mark for a straight run of snowmaking and at 4pm had produced 5300 cubic metres of snow, that’s 530 truckloads!
More than 30cm of snow covers what was bare grass just last Saturday. A truly amazing transformation and an incredible start to the 2009 winter season.
Snowfalls are forecast to continue through until Thursday and then start again at the end of the weekend. Forecast cold temperatures will provide optimum snowmaking conditions across the mountains.
Lifts will open from 9am to 5pm (weather dependent). Prices for lift tickets only are Adult $25 and Child $15 for Wednesday and will move to the following for Thursday 11 through to Sunday 14 June only. Grab a lesson for only $10 more and throw in your equipment hire for only another $10 – that’s $59 for an adult with everything included!
