The opening of the 2009 snow season keeps getting better with continued snowfalls overnight dumping another 15cm of fresh flakes and Hotham officially opening the first lift in Victoria this morning.
With a current snowdepth of 25+cm, Hotham Alpine Resort was able to open the Summit Trainer poma lift for the first time this morning. The lift will operate from 9am to 5pm (weather permitting) and is a great opportunity for beginners and seasoned skiers and boarders alike to stretch their ski legs and make some first turns for the season.
With forecasts looking promising to bring more snow through to Thursday we plan to have more lifts open this coming weekend for guests to enjoy. A fantastic start to the season!
