Cool Summer Festival Fun

It's time for Cool Summer! Tickets to this weekend's festival are no longer available online but can be purchased at The General Store.


Day tickets and session passes will be available on the gate at the following prices:
Fri/Sat/Sat night pass - $88
Sunday pass - $44
Session passes for Friday or Saturday night are $30 each.


A shuttle bus which will run between Dinner Plain and Mt Hotham for the duration of the Festival thanks to the Alpine Shire. Check the online timetable for details. A daily ticket to ride will only cost you $5 which includes unlimited trips. Tickets must be purchased prior to boarding at Zirky’s Café, The General Store or the Dinner Plain Visitor Information Centre.  

 

If you want to catch public transport to Hotham Alpine Resort for the festival, Hotham is serviced by the Summer Alps Bus Link which provides a link from Omeo and Bright and also the smaller communities of Cobungra, Dinner Plain, Hotham, Harrietville and Freeburgh in between.

The service departs Monday, Wednesday and Friday from Omeo and back again, the service gives you the opportunity to catch the bus up to the Cool Summer Festival from Bright or Omeo on the Friday, and back again on Monday morning. The service connects with V-LINE services that run from Bright to Wangaratta (and then on to Melbourne, Sydney or anywhere between) and from Omeo to Bairnsdale and through to Melbourne that way.

 

Looking for somewhere to eat during the festival? Jack Frost will be open for dinner Friday, Saturday and Sunday night with Ricki playing your favourite tunes. The geographic heart of the festival, The General Store will be open for lunch and dinner every day and grocery supplies if you need them.  Zirky's Cafe will be open for breakfast and lunch.

 

Mountain weather is unpredictable so come prepared with plenty of warm clothes, sunscreen, hats, and practical shoes.
