The Australian Children’s Championships continued at Hotham yesterday with the Parallel Slalom, the final event in the 2011 National Series.
Spectators and competitors alike enjoyed a fantastic day on Sun Run with this thrilling event that saw two skiers race gates side by side in knock out heats in each category.
Madison Hoffman, from the Thredbo Sports Race Club, won the Child 1 Girls division while Lilly Newton-Brown, representing Falls Creek took the top podium for the Child 2 Girls category.
Theo Coates, also from Thredbo, placed first in the Child 1 Boys category and Alec Scott, from Falls Creek, took the gold medal in the Child 2 Boys division.
The Parallel Slalom event wrapped up the Australian Children’s Championships with overall champions also being awarded trophies for the season.
