Welcome to the first day of the 2009 snow season. With minus temperatures this morning and a weather front on the way we hope to see some snowflakes this weekend.
If you are wondering why things look a little different on the website we have launched our new joint Hotham Alpine Resort website today to tie in with the launch of the 2009 season and hope you enjoy it!
There will be plenty of activities and entertainment for you at Hotham this weekend if you are heading up to celebrate opening weekend including Harry the Snowdragon making his first performance for winter from 4pm at the Big D, followed by fireworks lighting the skies from 6.30pm.
After a little more action?...hit one of the many venues open across Hotham and Dinner Plain with a range of opening weekend parties and entertainment including Peewee Ferris at Swindlers tonight, UK DJ, Simon James, (upstairs) and Local legend Benny Willams (downstairs) at The General, and complimentary cocktails for dinner guests at Fountains Restaurant.
On Sunday 7 the entertainment includes The Queen’s Ball (‘Tiaras or Tuxedos’) at Rundells Alpine Lodge at Dinner Plain including a wine auction, ‘Jazz & Shiraz’ with Garth Ploog at Cilantro Tapas Restaurant and Wine Bar, and at The General, The Village Band (downstairs) and the long awaited return of Hotham legend, DJ Eddy, cranking out some retro tunes upstairs.
