Snow update for Tuesday 7/9

Snow update for Tuesday 7/9

Wow! How easy to forget that we had a massive storm on the weekend when now the snow is so good! 11cm of fresh snow had fallen by 6am this morning.

Then it snowed steadily throughout the day until after lunch, delivering at least another 7cm of fresh flakes and skies cleared for those who headed out to enjoy afternoon turns. We can say for a fact that fresh tracks on One Tree Hill at 3pm are definitely a treat. And the snow? Who would think it's spring!

For Tuesday 7 September, Heavenly Valley will open at 8.30am as per normal operations. Returning to the village is easy via Roadrunner or using the village bus services operating from the Loch Carpark to the Village Centre.

The following lifts reopened today and snow conditions are very good in all these areas - Summit Quad, Roadrunner, The Drift, Gotcha and Keogh's / Orchard. The average natural snowdepth is now 123cm.

For road updates check out the VIC ROADS Flood Alert Page. Road from Bright to Hotham is open, currently some diversions to get to that point depending on where you are coming from. Omeo side open and clear.

PIC: The clean-up of the Village Ticket Office site continued today and the area is being prepared for reopening soon. Photo taken at 11.30am today.
