The heavens opened last night over Hotham Alpine Resort with snow falling at Hotham and Dinner Plain, including snow down to 1300m at Hotham Airport.
The morning temperature was -1.8 degrees and snow has been forecast to fall throughout Wednesday and Thursday.
With 38 sleeps until the start of the snow season, the snowfall is welcome news for skiers and boarders. Predictions for the 2010 winter season are very positive to date.
