With less than 24 hours to go until the official opening of the 2009 snow season Hotham's snowmaking team fired up our snowguns for another great run of snowmaking last night with 114 truckloads made on the Heavenly Valley area and 48 truckloads at the Big D.
The forecast for opening weekend is looking promising with snow possibly falling today above 1700m which includes Hotham Village. Snow is then predicted to continue to fall throughout the weekend and next week. Fingers crossed Mother Nature is kind to us and we have a white opening weekend and great kick start to season 2009.
