The birds have come out of hiding and started their song here at Hotham, now that we have stepped out of Winter and into Spring.
Those who have been tuning into our snowcams will have seen our average natural snowdepth of 58cm and 89cm in snowmaking areas with varied weather conditions.
The rollercoaster of weather conditions we’ve had isn’t about to hold up just yet! After abundant blue skies, we are enduring the ‘pitter, patter’ of rain today and tomorrow before, fingers crossed, enjoying the forecast up to 30cm of snow by the end of the week!
With some great skiing to be had across Heavenly Valley, intermediates can carve up Imagine or head over to The Drift, and for all our beginners looking to hone their skills on the snow, head to The Big D or Summit. If you are looking for a challenge, set your sights on Gun Barrel’s natural halfpipe!
Spring passes are the way to get some serious Spring time skiing in until the end of the season at just $549 per adult, $439 per youth and $275 for children.
For those who are just finding their ski legs, our ‘Learn to Ski’ package is the right place to start – lift pass, lesson and equipment all come at an amazingly discounted price of $99 for adults from 12 -18 September. If you are an Age subscriber, get ready for even more discounts and the chance to win a snow holiday!
Shopaholics unite! Spring savings are plentiful as Pinnacle, Boardbox and Zirky’s Boutique are selling selected outerwear and fashion at up to 40% off! If retail therapy is what you’re looking for after a long day on the slopes, head to Zirky’s Sports where all stock is 25% off including skis, poles, custom foot beds, wax and tuning equipment.
Check out the Spring Sessions Sorbet Slopestyle action on Sunday 11 September for the final event in the A la Carte in the Park series. Enter to show off your style in the park or check out Hotham’s best as they fight for points to tally for the overall series winner.
If you have trouble choosing between Winter and Spring, or skiing and golf, you no longer have to choose! The annual Spring Cup is fast upon us, where you can carve up the slopes and the green on Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 September, followed by a BBQ presentation.
A Spring celebration begins as 24 September marks the start of Spring Carnival! Family fun will be had with games, activities and much more! Make sure you head over to the Summit on Saturday 24th as the amazing end of season fireworks light up the skies!
