The Bogong High Plains Road has re-opened for visitors looking to spend some time in the Victorian High Country.
Â
The recent sealing of the road gives greater access to Wallace’s Hut and some other historical sites in the Alpine National Park as well as greater access to the renowned Blue Duck Inn in Anglers Rest - the perfect break for lunch on your way to - or from Hotham and Dinner Plain.
The $10 million project to seal the road has been made possible by the partnerships of the Alpine Shire Council, the Australian Government, the Victorian Government through Parks Victoria, East Gippsland Shire Council, Falls Creek Resort Management Board and Falls Creek Ski Lifts Pty Ltd.
The sealing of the road, has created a unique Alpine loop that can be enjoyed by car tourers, motorcyclists and road cyclists alike, so we look forward to seeing you up here to enjoy all the High Country has to offer this summer!
