The snowfalls over the past couple of weeks along with the hard work from our snowmaking and grooming teams have been instrumental in opening more chairlifts. Mother Nature has been good to us and we’re very excited to announce that Orchard, Keogh’s and Gotcha are now spinning, opening up a whole new range of terrain to ski and snowboard on for the first time this season!
We’ve got a six day head start on last year, when Orchard and Keogh’s opened on July 9 with an average natural snowdepth of 97cm. The previous year in 2010, Gotcha opened on August 14 and Keogh’s and Orchard opened on August 18 with an average natural snowdepth of 89cm. The average natural snowdepth at the moment is 90cm so we’re looking fantastic so early in the season.
