Severe Weather Warning

Visitors travelling to Mt Hotham this weekend Saturday 5th February - Sunday 6th February should be advised that a severe weather warning has been issued by the Bureau of Meteorology in conjunction with State Emergency Service for the Alpine Area.

It is forecast that winds will reach at least 100km/hr and up to 100mm rainfall is anticipated over Gippsland and the North East Ranges. 

A meeting of emergency service personnel is taking place today where the situation will be monitored. We anticipate that a reassessment will take place today of the storm situation, and we will post further updates on this website as they become available.
