Snow started falling around 11pm on Anzac Day, heralding the start of the true countdown to winter. 40cm of fresh flakes have fallen so far and with only 40 sleeps to go it's time to get excited!

Snow is predicted to continue through until Friday. With the current temperatures below zero, both Hotham and Dinner Plain have been turned into white winter wonderlands.

Weather forecasters agree that it is an exciting sign for Season 09. They predict light snowfalls in the first week of June and consistent snowfalls with cold temperatures throughout the season.

When preparing for winter remember that sales for the Season 6 Season Pass (valid every day except Saturday) close at the end of April; and sales for the new Super Season Pass (earlybird pass valid at Hotham, Falls Creek and Perisher all season long) close on May 28. Don't miss out on what looks like being a bumper season. These deals mean you'll get even more value out of each day on the snow!
