Until Wednesday this week Hotham and Dinner Plain play host to the Mountain Fresh Festival for the forth time. The festival strongly features delicious and exciting food and wine from the Alpine Valleys Wine Region with a diverse program of events including the battle for the Top Chef Challenge.
This year the kitchens at Hotham and Dinner Plain are hotting up, as the chefs compete for the prestigious title of Mountain Fresh Chef 2009.
Each chef will create a Mountain Fresh dish using fresh local produce from the Alpine Valleys Wine Region. So if you’re an opinionated food lover, come along to one of the participating venues and sample one or more of the dishes to help determine who is Hotham’s critic’s choice.
Critics will go into a prize draw to win a hamper of local produce, snow goodies and a signed copy of Balance & Harmony by leading Aussie chef, Neil Perry. Winners will be announced at a special event held at The White Room, on Wednesday 29 July, 2009 at 3pm, with host Greg Duncan Powell from Vogue Entertaining & Travel.
