10cm of fresh snow overnight

10cm of fresh snow overnight

It's been a wild 24 hours here at Hotham but the mad weather has brought us the good stuff!

10cm of fresh white snow fell overnight turning the village and slopes back into the white playground we all worship so much!
Snow is predicted to continue to fall over the next 36 hours with up to 50cm forecast out of this storm alone. September is looking promising.

Snowmaking is still hard at work, since 4.30am this morning 495 truck loads have been made on the Village area and 6 truck loads have been made on the Big D. That equates to a run of snow of approximately 1.6km in length x 1m wide x 33.33 deep. Nice.

Thanks to the new snow, Cobungra Platter lift will re-open tomorrow in Dinner Plain.

Coming up to enjoy the powder? Don't miss all the other action at the resort over the coming days. The last Apres Evening is on tonight presented by HSBC Premier in the Hotham Sales Gallery from 5 - 6pm. Tonight's wine tastings are from Boynton's Feathertop... a local drop produced just down the road.

Tomorrow night check out our FREE Stars on Snow Spectacular at the Big D from 6pm. See firetwirling, ski and board instructor demos, kids flare run, Harry the Snowdragon show and FIREWORKS!

Stay tuned for more updates on this awesome storm and what's happening around the resort.
