Roxy Board like a Girl…

Girls ripped up the slopes yesterday on the Roxy ‘Board like a Girl’ program.

The full day girls snowboarding workshop united like minded females and encouraged them to further their snowboarding ability in a fun, friendly and comfortable environment.

The am session of the Roxy ‘Board like a Girl’ workshop was hosted by Mt Hotham’s resident pro Hanna Studd. Hanna taught the girls a new gamut of tricks and riding techniques such as Alley Opps, front-side and back-side 180’s, board grabs plus much more. For Hanna the ‘Board like a girl’ program is about “getting girls together with the same interest’s, having fun and helping them to improve as much as I can”.

In the afternoon session the girls hooked up with Mt Hotham’s best female snowboarding instructors and continued to learn new tricks and tips. One of the participants Tori from Mornington commented “I have never improved my riding so much in one day, its amazing what you can achieve in a fun filled, comfortable environment”.

The Roxy ‘Board like a Girl’ program runs the first Saturday of each month. The next session will be on Saturday the 5^th of September.
