PUBLIC NOTICE

 

The Mount Hotham Alpine Resort is home to several threatened species including Burramys parvus, the Mountain Pigmy Possum that are know prey of cats and foxes.  In an effort to conserve the populations of threatened species and improve quality of native vegetation within the resort the Mount Hotham Alpine Resort Management Board is implementing a revised integrated pest animal program. 

 

Residents and visitors of Mount Hotham Resort are advised initial spotlighting and opportunistic shooting will be conducted to inform ongoing monitoring and develop a control program for introduced species including foxes, cats and rabbits.

 

 

When:    Thursday March 22 and Friday March 23 between dusk and dawn
