The 2009 Victorian Tourism Industry Awards were announced in Melbourne this week with two businesses under Hotham’s parent company, Living and Leisure Australia, taking out awards.
Up against strong competition, the Melbourne Aquarium took home the top award for Major Tourist Attraction in Victoria, sponsored by Melbourne Airport. The Aquarium was also a finalist in the OAMPS Award for Tourism Marketing.
The Otway Fly Treetop walk off the Great Ocean Road received a certificate of merit in the Herald Sun Awards for Tourist Attractions.
There was a strong representation of entrants from the North East Region and it is great to see so many fantastic tourism offerings in the area to enable us to offer a truly unique holiday experience in North East Victoria. Congratulations to our friends at Bright Brewery, Bogong Horseback Adventures in Mt Beauty, The Spa at Beechworth and Ovens Valley Motor Inn in Bright.
