The annual Cool Wine Challenge Dinner is on again this year on Saturday 20 June at the Onsen Retreat & Spa in Dinner Plain where the Alpine Valleys Vignerons challenge the Mornington Peninsula Vignerons to a wine duel.
The Cool Wine Challenge takes two up and coming wine regions, a highly regarded chef and the unique alpine location of Dinner Plain to bring together an exquisite evening of food and wine.
The evening consists of a formal dinner with a menu based on local Alpine Valleys gourmet produce prepared by Hamish Nugent of Tsubo, Dinner Plain. Each course will be served with two masked wines. One wine will be from the Alpine Valleys and one from the Mornington Peninsula. Guests will sip both wines and pass judgement on their favourite. At the end of the night votes will be tallied and a winner declared.
