Cheese and Crackered Rail Jam

Cheese and Crackered Rail Jam

The Cheese and Crackered Rail Jam was served up yesterday afternoon in the Basin Rail Park as the second entrée of the A la Carte park series. Competitors stepped it up a notch for this event throwing down some technical tricks on the rails in blizzard like conditions as snow hit the ground at Hotham.

In a turn of events from last week's competition Ali Coates took home first place in the open men’s snowboard division narrowly beating Rutger “Dutchy” Jonker, who couldn’t quite nail his impressive gap 450 spin to front board on the down rail.

Luke Bicknell dominated the open men’s ski division, however was almost shown up by grommet ski winner Louis Muhler with his front flips off the flat box. Carter Mills showed the judges how it’s done with his 180 on to 360 spin 180 out off the long box taking out first place in the grommet snowboard division, beating fellow Hotham Snowboard Inc. member Mo DiNatale. Georgia Mylonas represented for the girls with her tweeked out backtail presses.
The honorable Cheese & Crackers Platter award for impressing the judges went to Cody Johnson.

A full list of results are available HERE.

On July 28 we serve up the final entrée for the A la Carte in the Park Series with the Pea Brain Soup Big Air down at the Big D Colosseum. If you’re keen on joining in, visit www.hotham.com.au/events to download registration forms or register on the day at the Events Desk located next to the Hotham Central Tickets counter.
