The Summer Alps Bus link has been a great success since it started in 2008/2009.
Many people have taken advantage of this inexpensive, public transport link between Omeo and Bright, in Summer and Winter, servicing the smaller communities of Cobungra, Dinner Plain, Hotham, Harrietville and Freeburgh in between.
Travelling Monday, Wednesday and Friday from Omeo and back again, the service gives people the opportunity to come up mid-week or for a weekend. Why not come up on the Australia Day weekend and enjoy Hotham in the Summer, go for a bushwalk in the cooler climate, have a coffee at Zirky's or a cold beer at The General or just relax and soak up the views.
