Don’t miss all the action today on Gun Barrel when CAPITA presents the Hot Ham Banked Slalom. First prize is a paid airfare and entry into the legendary Mt Baker Banked Slalom in the US.
Today’s event sees Vancouver Olympian Alex ‘Chumpy’ Pullin return to Hotham after a short break following his FIS ANC SBX victory at Hotham recently. Canada’s Critchlaw sisters, Jade and Tess who also won the SBX here will be competing whilst Mark Cowley, last year’s Banked Slalom winner returns to defend his title.
Registrations are now closed and almost 80 competitors are lined up to take part. Bib collection will be at 8.30am Saturday morning at the bottom of the Heavenly Valley Chair. Course inspection will take place at 9am, training from 9.40am and racing will start at 11am.
Presentations and the official after party will take place at The General Saturday night with DJ Eddy cranking out some tunes.
