Last week’s monster blizzard transformed the mountain into a real winter wonderland. With consistent snow falls since then and a little help from our snowmaking team, Hotham is in spectacular form.
The whole mountain is now open, spoiling our July school holiday guests with plenty of fantastic terrain and fluffy white snow to explore. 2011 will be especially remembered for the early opening of The Orchard and Blue Ribbon lifts, particularly in relation to last year when they did not start turning until August 14 and 21 respectively.
We have plenty to offer the whole family these school holidays at Hotham.
If the fun and excitement of the slopes is not enough, we have plenty of activities off the slopes for all to enjoy.
Our great line-up of School Holiday Activities includes Nintendo Wii competitions, a colouring competition, board games, a treasure hunt, a ‘build a snowman’ competition and much more!
Harry the Snowdragon will perform his live stage show every Wednesday and Saturday at the Big D at 4pm. If you're a huge Harry fan, come along to the Big Chair outside Hotham Central at 3.30pm on Saturday and get your photo taken with Harry.
Go for a slide under the stars with nightskiing at the Big D on Wednesday and Saturday nights from 6.30 – 9.30pm. For the older kids, supervised teen sessions are available for just $25. Bookings can be made at Kids Snowsports.
With so much action for the kids, Mum and Dad can also enjoy some activities off the slopes.
Pop down to the Onsen Retreat and Spa in Dinner Plain this week, enjoy the therapeutic waters of the Japanese-inspired Onsen, plunge pools and saunas, and make the most of their great deals of the week. This week only, receive a FREE Petite Facial (valued at $75) with every Body Wrap booked. You can also take advantage of their 'buy 2 get 1 free' deal when you purchase any Pevonia product plus a Pevonia cleanser and receive the matching lotion as your exclusive gift (valued at $66.50). Go on ladies. Spoil yourself!
Also for the grown-ups this week are the Après Evenings hosted this week by Amulet Vineyard on Tuesday at Hotham Central and Wednesday at Rundells Alpine Lodge in Dinner Plain from 4 – 6pm. Sample some of the finest food and wine produced in the region after a day on the slopes.
Visit Dinner Plain this week as the village turns on the Christmas cheer for Christmas in July. Enjoy Christmas food, wine, cheer and fun across multiple venues all week long.
A wide range of entertainment and dining options are also available across Hotham’s many venues, so check out the What's On schedule for more information.
