Cassie playing in the snow

Hotham received a nice dusting of snow this morning, it is still cold with a bit of a breeze. The wind has settled down considerably since yesterday, which was fairly gusty probably around the 100km/h mark.

It is still snowing off and on and the temperature is a chilly -(cold)C. It is a bit hard to know what the exact temperature as the Bureau of Met AWS on the Summit is probably frozen, the sign on the RMB building is displaying around -3C, which is close to the mark.

More snow showers forecast for today although won't be enough to get the old banger skiis out, unfortunately.

The Great Alpine Road is open, there was a small amount snow on the road this morning although that should have cleared by now. Always take care and watch out for snow/ice patches.
