It's snowing at Mt Hotham!

Light snow falls began at Mt Hotham this morning at around 11.30am.

The snow is now settling on cars, signs and buildings and has started settling on the ground. 10cm is forecast for the Alpine areas for today, and snow has been forecast to 1000m which is great for Mt Hotham considering the village is 750m above that!

We are feeling optimistic about the snow season this year as the Resort has received significant snowfalls over the last few weeks and temperatures are getting colder and colder by day. It is reasonably unlikely that the snow will hang around from this fall but it all helps to cool the ground down for the coming weeks.

The snow is falling more heavily now and will hopefully continue throughout the night.
